All Dogs Go To Heaven: In Loving Memory of Stig

Last night we lost an amazing member of the Haute Dog family. Stig passed away peacefully in his sleep at 13 years of age. Rescued from Lone Star Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue and loved beyond words by Claire and the entire Barter family, Stig was my first client in Dallas and quickly stole a piece of my heart.

When Mary contacted me to do a photo session for her fur-kids, she was concerned because Stig had always been terrified of the camera. We went slow, put away all the big light stands, silenced the shutter sounds, used a long lens, and shot from afar so we didn't cause him any undue stress. I am so grateful for the memories we captured, and am hugging my pups a little tighter today.
